I bought an Electric Kitchen Light fixture that would not work for my kitchen. I returned it to the store. I went in the store showed them my recent told the clerk I had this in my van and needed help getting it it the store for a refund.
She looked at my receipt. I finally got the heavy light fixture in the store. A clerk or manager looked at the fixture to make sure it was all there. He okayed a return. Then the clerk tells me I can't get a cash refund and can only have store credit because it had only been 10 days since I wrote the check. In order to get a refund I would have to come back in four days. It had only been 10 days since I wrote the check. So in order to get my $109 refund I would have to carry this back into the van and bring it back in 4 days. Otherwise I would have to take a store credit. How many people want a $109 in store credit. It had been 9 days since I wrote the check. My bank is one mile down the road. I think this was totally ridiculous that I had been in the store for over an half hour and had to load this back into my van and wait another 4 days. I am sure the check had already been cleared. The date of the receipt was 09/20/07. There was nothing written on this receipt that I had to wait 14 days for the check to clear. I am sure it does not take 14days for a check to clear thru a bank in the same town a mile from Menards. I don't know about you but my time is very valuable. 81-263-6991

Have shopped at Menards for a long time!!! My wife bought something that had a rebate-I always pick them up at the store but she forgot.. The rebate receipt says just go to this website to download one.. I see what the previous folks above are talking about.. Obviously this website could be changed in a few minutes if Menards cared about customer satisfaction.. I won't be driving past Home Depot any longer to shop at Menards.. For those of you looking for rebate answers - unless this was recently changed since you all posted your rebate form request - you can find the link to rebate coupons at the bottom of the Menards website. You will need your rebate receipt. There is a link titled "Rebate Coupons". On this page there is a box to enter your rebate number (located on the rebate receipt you received when you purchased your item). Enter that number, click on "Find It". If the number is valid, the next page asks you to accept their rebate policy - you need to click on "I Accept" and then your rebate coupon will load. You will need to be able to view .pdf files. I hope that is helpful - and if this was posted too late, I apologize for the redundancy.

I have filled my tool cabinet with rebate coupon tools. It has been the easiest and least expensive way to be able to have a set of tools for myself. I will place many rebates in one envelope. (Usually about every three weeks before the date that I need to mail them by.) Then When I get my rebate check I then use it to buy more rebate items. It has worked GREAT for me. At to meet the minimum requirements on the free items I usually need to buy dog food or seed for birds.
I purchased a storm door, clerk said it would be 2 weeks and I would receive a call when it was in store for pickup. 4 weeks went by without a call so I called checking, clerk said irt was in weks ago. Something is amiss.

i bout over $10,000 in lumber for two decks. all of the lumber was treated. It's the worse lumber that i've ever seen. Worm holes, knowts that are popping out and breaking. I'm totally not satisified with it. I'm frustrated and have tried to speak to the store manager twiceand was told that he was too busy to talk to me. I was told that someone would be coming down from corporate to take pictures, that was in August. Never had anyone show up. I've left my cell number and have not received a call ever. I wrote a letter to Menards to complain that the store in Bridgeview Illinois has skids of merchandise in the isles blocking what I want to get to and you cannot get carts down the isles. This happens all the time there. They responded with a form letter saying sorry and here is a little somethng for your trouble. It was a box of flavored coffees. Great, but I do not drink coffee. HELLOOOOO Home Depot.

On Wednesday, 10/21/2009, I purchased a 5pc art brush set from the Bridgeview store. The display showed the price as $2.88 but the item scanned out at the register as $2.89. I realize this is only a penny, but I thought I should have received this item for the lower price. I should have been given a penny back. I asked the cashier about it, she sent me to the service desk, they would not correct the problem for me and just told me it was "interesting." I found a manager, actually an assistant manager and he told me he would look into it later in the day and maybe change the price on the display, but he wouldn't honor the penny difference until he investigated. I am not happy with that sort of arrogance from the staff. I also wonder how many other items were raised by a penny or two or three and slipped past the customers. I think you should look into this occurance. It surely shows poor customer relations by the management at the Bridgeview store.
