Rebates are fine when you get one. When the store clerk and the rebate receipt says you can enter online, why will it not go through when I try to do it.

Half the time when I mail the rebate receipt in I never get the rebate. I'm going to try one more time.

Worst website I've ever seen. It's impossible to get rebate online because of incoherent instructions. This is a continuation of my problems at the store, where they wanted me to wait two hours to get my computer. Then they gave incorrect instructions for my intallation, which cost $190! I couldn't figure out from this page how to get the rebate. However, I went back to the Google page and clicked on the one that said something about "How do Staples Rebates work," and, from there, I easily found out how to sign up. Now I just have to see if I get it. Though, I will say, that a couple of years ago, when I bought something else, I got a rebate quite quickly from Staples. I do not remember if I did it online or mailed it in that time.

Yes, I had the same experience. Very hard to figure out the HUB site. When I closed out this site it brought me back to the start of my options from the net. GO TO THE STAPLES OFFICIAL SITE!!! Everything will be right there for you to fill out. Very easy process. Good Luck Everyone.

The problem is that the rebate form gives an address that can mislead. Try this: go to Staples.com, open it, look on the bottom left of the page for the "Ways to save column", click on "rebate center" and follow the simple directions. Using this method I had a validated rebate receipt in less than 2 minutes.

thanks to all who posted the proper link, found the site (I think) problem is the next page says they haven't got the transaction info from the store yet, 15 days after I made the purchase. Finally got the info right and submitted, at least I got a confirmation page printed. we'll see if the rebate comes, hardest $30 I ever earned. I think what finally made the difference is putting the letters in the Serial in Caps. don't know if anyone else posted it, but the phone for help is 1 8003STAPLES (1-800-378-2753 also that gal said they have trouble with AOL submissions, but it worked for me.

I have been a computer engineer for the last thirty years and to my dismay I also found that mail-in rebate gigs to be the most prevalent legal scam in play. This Rebate Program is rediculous!! The idea behind this program is that more than 50% of the customers will either not go through the rebate process, get confused and stop or won't see their checks. It's a racket! It took my some time to find out how to get to the apprpriate site which is very confusing. I went one direction where they wanted me to complete a questionairre for a site that Staples in not affilated with before getting me to the right site. Once I got the correct location, you had to do some research and looking to find your numbers. Then, one of the code numbers is 17 numbers long. I bet the reason behind that is that they are hoping you mess the numbers up. Once I completed my entry, the information they had showed my last name twice. I tried to re-submit and got a message saying my log on time has expired (I was on for about 5 minutes or so).

SO, do you think I will get my refund? Vegas gave me 50-1 odds! This process sucks and Staples should be embarrassed. Can't believe they won't rectify this problem.

I got a card with my purchase of copy paper that said the rebates were easy to get online and it gave simple instructions, but it did not work initially for me because the card said ""To submit your rebate, go to stapleseasyrebates.com." I went there and got the wrong website. But I did find via the opinions and criticisms a phone number for staples. (I8003STAPLES) The man I talked to was very helpful. On 1-30-09 I filed a rebate request associated with a purchase I made on 1/26/09. I was assigned tracking # of 325673328 via an e-mail I received from rebatetrack.com. there are only 3 ways to enter a rebate code: 09-11410m, 09 11410, and 0911410. What is even more fun is buying 5 of the items and after you get home you find that the rebate is only good for two of them. Ever tried to enter the $5,000 Survey? You do the survey up to the end where you are asked to enter you telephone #. All you can get is area code and the first two exchange numbers. It's a scan and criminal! These people who said the online rebate system was horrible need to check the expiration date on their brains! The procedure was so easy my 10 year old could have done it. Very little to do, if you weren't sure where to locate a number, they linked to show you, and I put it in and it was accepted the first time I did it. The whole thing took under 3 minutes.

As for the Staples products, we bought a single line Uniden digital phone and answering system with 3 handsets for $29.99 after rebate. It has all the bells and whistles and works perfectly, as did the Uniden we had for years that we simply wanted to upgrade from. So don't tell me their products aren't good...they are. I have no idea what the h**l these people are talking about.

The Staples chair we purchased was new, in the box, and marked down from $90.00 to $49.50. The kid in the store took it out to our truck without being asked, and waited till I re-arranged the stuff in the bed so he could put it in. He didn't have to do that. The chair itself is very comfortable and has adjustments for back tilt and seatback height, pneumatic seat height adjustment, knee tilt adjustment, and armrest width and height adjustment. I defy you to find a chair with all that for that price, online or in a store. Oh, and I should mention that the chair comes with a 15 year warranty on non-moving metal parts, a 10 year warranty on the pneumatic cylinder, a 3 year warranty on the upholstery (based on an 8 hour per day shift for people up to 225 lbs.) and a 5 year warranty on all other parts, including casters. I would say that is a pretty freaking good warranty unless you are a 350 lb tub of lard who never gets off his butt all day and sits all night playing online World of Warcraft because he doesn't have a life.

Oh yeah, I did have to assemble the chair. All the parts were there, including a packet of spare parts, and it was so easy to assemble they didn't even need to print written instructions...the illustrations were easy enough to follow that a trained chimp could do it. Oh yeah, one other thing -- the only tool that was needed was an Allen wrench, which was included.

That's my comment about Staples. Take your pick...you can believe the people who comment and spell half their words incorrectly (which should tell you something about them) or the people who had a good experience with Staples because they actually took the time to "read the instructions".
