I am overwhelmed by the superior aftersales service we received from Microsoft South Africa. They are based in Bryanston.

My grandson got a Microsoft xbox360 for christmas and it took a year to pay it off, so you can imagine what he felt like when it would not work any more. It had 3 flashing red lights when he switched it on. He had a broken xbox. I am glad he did not open it to try and fix it or else his warranty would have been lost.

My grandson and I decided that we are going to take his xbox to Microsoft to see if they can help us and this is where the superior service comes in.

We arrived at the security gates not knowing what to do or who to speak to and that is normally a problem with big companies. Not at Microsoft. The security lady told us exactly who to ask for at the front reception.

There was a warm welcome waiting for us. The reception lady was friendly and full of smiles. She told us to take a seat while she called the gentlemen for us.

She informed us that the gentlemen is question was at an other branch but not to worry she will get someone else to help us, which she did. A lady come to us with all the papers that needed to filled in plus she had already phoned their repair company in Edenvale and arranged that we take it to them. This was all done in less than 10 mins.

Wow, If you have a faulty xbox you can contact Microsoft and they will help you.

As it turned out the faulty xbox had hardware failure.

We then took the xbox to the repair company. My daughter had filled in the relavant forms and ofcourse the purchase documents had to go with.

The reception at the repair company was just as friendly. The lady took the papers and made her copies. She phoned and a brand new xbox was brought done.

As we were not expecting to get a new one, it was with amazement when she handed to my grandson and told him this is his. The light in his face and the tears in his eyes was something to see. Microsoft had given him a new xbox. You made this Granny and a young 14 year old very happy.  As a granny,  I will never forget what you done for my grandson. Thank you so very much for everything. Your aftersales service is awesome. Thank you.

That is right.  This granny got lessons on how to play arcade games on the xbox.

I really enjoyed my lessons my grandson gave me on how to play arcade games on his new xbox360.  Now I know the feeling when the youngsters play games as teams on and off line.

He ofcourse beat me hands down,  but the bond between us is just so much stronger and before we knew it the day was gone and my daughter was walking into the door.  She just laughed and could  not believe that I was actually playing a game.

Microsoft made all this possible with their fantastic after sales service

Thank again for the memories I will always carry with me.  This Granny can now play xbox360.
