The XS Energy Drink Corporation adds to the growing list of 13 selections with the release of the newest flavor, Wild Berry. XS Energy Drink, already sporting the #2 selling energy drink in North America, aims to strengthen their dominance in the Energy Drink industry and overtake Red Bull Energy Drink as the world's best selling energy drink.

The new Wild Berry energy drink has the typical ingredients that XS energy drinks are known for, including adaptogenic herbs: Panax Ginseng and Reishi, %4900 B-12 vitamins, and having no carbohydrates or sugar combined with just 8 calories. The added ingredients include blueberry juice concentrates to go with natural flavorings such as strawberry, raspberry, and, interestingly enough, purple carrot extract.

If you have tasted other XS flavors, you know that great taste is the staple of the XS energy drink brand. The Wild Berry energy drink does not disappoint in this regard. The taste of this XS flavor compares to drinking a Fanta soda, which is ironic because the XS Cran Grape sports a similar taste. The Wild Berry flavor surpasses the Cran Grape in that the Wild Berry energy drink does not leave the aftertaste effect whether you drink this cold or warm, although it is more refreshing to drink cold.

As for the best use of this particular energy drink, as with most energy drinks offering a boost to busy professionals on the go and gym rats who look to supplement their workouts with extra energy, the Wild Berry fits the bill. Moreover, an added audience to this particular energy drink would be diabetics because of Wild Berry XS having no sugar.

Personally, I used this energy drink as a wake-me-up in the morning before I took a jog. What sticks out immediately is the enhanced alertness I feel as I was walk towards the park for my daily jog versus, usually, having to pep myself up. After the jog sticks out as well because my body was not as sore when I moved on to doing anaerobic exercises.

I also drank another while eating a spinach veggie wrap breakfast to keep in line with health goals as I am eating more vegetarian meals. Personally, I feel this flavor goes great with any meal but the health factors are welcoming enhancements.

A drawback to the Wild Berry XS energy drink would the caffeine factor. For people who are caffeine sensitive, they probably would not like enjoy this XS flavor. However, there are other XS flavors, like the caffeine free tropical blast and cran grape flavors, that perfectly fit within this realm.

Also consider the artificial sweetness factor, which most soft drinks and energy drinks use. Studies have shown that these sweeteners can have long term ill effects to the body. The Wild Berry, as most of the other XS flavors, has the artificial sweetener, Acesulfame Potassium, which is considered to be the least harmful sweetener because of this immediately passing through the body once this energy drink is consumed.

Overall, the Wild Berry XS energy drink is a keeper, mainly because of the health factors. For individuals looking to cut more sugar out of their diets, this energy drink can be a great substitute for sugary sodas at dinner time. But for all the energy drink connoisseurs out there, the XS Wild Berry flavor will stand amongst competition.

Because these particular energy drinks are sold by licensed private distributors, prices may vary, from $3 to $5 a can to $25 to $35 for a 12 can case, depending on individual distributorship preferences. If you want more pricing information, click here
