Seattle Mobile Yoga Studio Makes Good
62How it started.
Long long ago, in a corporate galaxy not so far away, I realized that I, like many of my coworkers, were working too much to be in the mindspace to be consistent about exercise. Solution - I arranged for a yoga teacher from a local studio to come in and teach a class for us at lunch time. It was a success.
Long story short, the classes didn't last, but the idea grew into what today is my little baby of a microbusiness, Yoga Team.
Starting a business isn't easy, but it's extremely gratifying to see more and more news that companies are starting to get it - even the slightest contribution towards a healthier and happier workplace can work wonders for everyone and everything, including the bottom line. While providing great healthcare packages for employees is a necessary and admirable gesture, the more proactive approach of shifting healthcare dollars into keeping people holistically HEALTHY while at work, rather than caring for them when they get sick (presumably from stress and a less-than-ideal work situation) is the smarter choice.

I wish everyone else would get the yoga bug! Wonderful idea to generate well being and compassion within the workplace!

I think this is a great idea. When I worked in Michigan we would have special lunchtime sessions. I can say: Yoga during the day is really helpful to re-balance yourself.
