Do You Have The Perfect Job?
59Ah yes, a corner office with a magnificent view of the metropolis. Your own staff to tend to your every request. After another great day at the office just signing papers and looking good, you hop on your Ferrari and it's off to the spa for a relaxing massage after which is followed by a sumptuous dinner at one of the more exclusive restaurants in town. You can opt to go to a club after that to party the night away or you can just go home and watch a couple movies on your top-of-the-line home theater system. This is the perfect life of someone who has the perfect job. Making so much money and enjoying the good life. But let's really ask ourselves..... is there really a perfect job?
I've seen a lot of people complaining about their jobs regardless of how small the problem is. They feel these problems stop them from accomplishing their dreams. I know someone who keeps transferring from one job to another with reasons ranging from "my officemates are bitc*es" to "I think God wants me to work elsewhere". Trust me, God has nothing to do with it.
In a workplace, there will always be differences. There will always be problems. How you deal with it is probably what you should be thinking about instead of daydreaming about yourself having the perfect job or not having those nasty co-workers in the same office with you. You shouldn't even be thinking about them since you should be busy doing something, like working.
The bottom line is, there will never be a perfect job since we live in an imperfect world with imperfect people. Always remember, "There will never be a perfect job for you but you can try your best to be perfect for the job that you have".

AMD... Slowly Catching Up!
I have been an AMD lover for quite sometime now. I have always loved AMD's price to
performance ratio. They gave Intel a scare when their Athlon64 came out. Their X2 have been competitive as well. But ever since Intel came up with their Core 2 Quads, AMD seemed to have a harder time competing. They couldn't make their Phenom line work as well as Intel's offering. Worse, their Phenom had an internal error.
Well, after some time, AMD is finally ready to show the world their new line of processors. It will have the same 45nm technology as Intel's Core 2 Quads. It will also offer speeds ranging from 2.4ghz - 3.0ghz marking the first time an AMD Quad core processor will break the 3.0ghz clock speed barrier. The processor code names include Deneb and Propus. Also, all Deneb processors will have prodigious amounts of cache memory to speed performance. Some are listed with 6MB of level-3 cache memory and 2MB of level-2 cache. The Propus line
will only have 2MB of level-2 cache but will have thermal envelopes of as low as 45 Watts. The Deneb processors will start production by the fourth quarter of 2008
and the Propus processors will start production by the first or second quarter of next year.
Looks like Intel will have their hands full with this one. AMD is definitely on track to restoring order in the processor world where there can be only one.

You are so right and I am very happy that you have learned a great deal from your ordeals. God bless you.
Jerky Ong, you make a good point about not all of the problems with a job being related to the job itself. Sometimes it is our attitude. But being too dependent on the idea that you must have a job in order to live is also not good. Work at a job if you love the work. If you don't love the work, find other work you love. Sometimes the answer lies off the grid, and you have to create the perfect job, instead of expecting an employer to provide it for you.

While I am happy with my job, there was a time when I wasn't happy at all. The fact was that even when I changed jobs it would be great for a while until the honeymoon came to an abrupt end. What I learned over time is that there is always a lesson in those awful jobs, and those people who ticked me off were there to teach me it. It was only when I stopped running away and sat with the less, that I was able to truly learn it, and move on. When the same problems happen over and over again your job is to work out what the lessons are for you, stick at it until you learn them, and then move on. When you deal with the lesson, do the hard yards, and learn it life has a funny way of letting you move on without the same lessons again and again.
