Since Monday the chinese authorities has blocked youtube and the YouTube spokesman says "We do not know the cause of the blockage, and we are working as fast as we can to restore access for our users in China,"

Both Google and Youtube have previously blocked by Chinese authorities in short periods. It has also happened that the individual video clips has been stopped.

The last few days have footage showing Chinese soldiers beating Tibetans been posted on Youtube. The clips have been posted by a group of exiled Tibetans. There have been videos of Chinese soldiers struck down anti-Chinese demonstrations in Tibet. A sequence showing how hundreds of Chinese soldiers rushing through a Tibet monastery while a few beats a man with a truncheon. Another sequence shows uniformed soldiers who kicks and beats several men and a woman lying on the ground, several of them with tied hands.

It is not known about the films is the reason why China is off down Youtube, but I think it is the reason.

It is sad that China, the fastest growing country in the world is doing this to the freedom of speech.
