YouTube Video Promotion For Internet Network Marketing - Tips

YouTube videos can be a significant part of your web of content in attraction marketing. YouTube videos rank well in the search engines, they are compelling and easy to watch for the viewer, and they allow your personality to come across. In this article I will go over a few tips to help you improve your YouTube videos.

Keyword Research

One important factor in how your YouTube video ranks in the search engines is what keywords you have in the title of the video. You want to have one keyword phrase per video and that keyword phrase should be in the title of the video. To help you come up with the best keyword phrase, you can use Google's AdWords Keyword Tool. Google's keyword tool can be found at: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. What you want to do is click the button "Descriptive word or phrases" and enter your starting keyword or keyword phrase in the box. The Keyword Tool will then return to you a list of keyword variations of what you entered in the box with the approximate search volume for the last month for each keyword variation. If you pick a keyword phrase with a high search volume, you know that there is interest in that topic and you can use that keyword phrase as part of your video title to help it in the search engine rankings. Depending upon the topic, you may want to redo your keyword testing by adding your geographic location to they keyword phrase. This will result in less search volume but the views that you do get (or the searches) will be more targeted.

YouTube Market Research

There are a variety of market tests that you can do within YouTube. To find out what kind of stuff are finding popular, enter a search term and click on "advanced" next to the "Search" button. Then click on the "Sort Results By" dropdown box and select "View Count". This will list the videos relevant to the search term by how many times they have been viewed. View some of the top videos to see what is popular. You can also sort the list by "Rating" which is the rating given by the YouTube community. Again view some of the top videos to see what is popular with the YouTube community. You can also sort by "Date" which will give you an idea as to what is happening currently.

Sharing Your Video

Within YouTube you can quickly share your videos with various social marketing websites. Below the box that actually shows your video there is a tab marked "Share". In that tab, you will see buttons or icons for MySpace, Facebook, Digg, del.icio.us, and StumbleUpon among others. If you don't see them all, you can click on the words "more share options" to show the other sites. By clicking on the icon for a particular social marketing site, a page will open up to allow you to send a message to all your friends or contacts for that particular site. You can also do it individually for your friends and contacts. There is also a message box that you put a message to the recipient. Sharing your video will get your video more traffic which will help it in the search engine rankings.

Statistics & Data

If you come across a video that is of interest to you and you want to know where the clicks are coming from there is another tab beneath the video that is labeled "Statistics & Data". If you click on that tab, you will see a list of websites that are linking to the video. These could be forums, blogs, websites, etc. where someone has linked to the video. That information could be used to market to those sites, enter the forums to participate and potentially link your own videos, put blog entries if the blog allows guest entries, etc.

Video Annotation

A cool feature of YouTube is that you can add some kind of annotation to your videos. Make sure that you are logged in at YouTube and click on the button "Video Owner Options" and then select "Edit Video Annotations". There you will have the choice of adding a speech bubble, adding a note, or adding a spotlight (like a little frame). What you can do with the speech bubble and the note is add your website address or telephone number where the viewer can contact you for more information.

I hope you found these tips useful. YouTube videos can be an important part of your internet network marketing training and a key part of your attraction marketing methods. I look forward to seeing your videos on YouTube.
