74Is YTB a Scam?
Is YTB a scam or the real deal? Before I decided to join YTB, I researched "ytb scam" on the internet (from reliable sources) and found there is no YTB travel scam, but instead a legitimate, successful company. They book real travel with most of the major travel vendors. YTB International was recognized by Travel Weekly as Leading Travel Agency in 2008 & 2007 Power List. YTB is also a proud member of the Direct Selling Association.
If you do your homework and research the facts on the YTB travel business, you will know which sources can be quickly passed by and which deserve a second look, simply by asking whether each source appears to offer facts and well-argued opinions, or just unsupported claims. Then you will be able to make up your own mind.
There is an extremely wide variety of material on the Internet, ranging in its accuracy, reliability, and value. Unlike most traditional information media (magazines, books, organizational documents), no one has to approve the content before it is made public.
Information is everywhere on the Internet, existing in large quantities and continuously being created and revised. This information exists in a large variety of kinds (facts, opinions, stories, interpretations, and statistics) and is created for many purposes (to inform, to persuade, to sell, to present a viewpoint, and to create or change an attitude or belief). For each of these various kinds and purposes, information exists on many levels of quality or reliability. It ranges from very good to very bad and includes every shade in between.
It's your job as a searcher, then, to evaluate what you locate, in order to determine whether is true or false.
People are entitled to their own opinions, but what you are looking for is facts and actual experience. Reading a post on a site or a board from someone who is possibly a recruiter for another home based travel business won't help you. They'd rather you joined THEM instead. Beware the information they give you on your choice of home-based business opportunities. Some of those sites and especially some boards, will have deliberate mis-information on them.
You may also run across posts from people who don't care for MLMs and don't think network marketing works and that the whole thing is just a scam. Ask yourself a question or two when you read material like this. Does the person writing the post have any actual experience with the YTB travel business? Did they do the same kind of research YOU are going to do? Did they take the time to actually find answers to their questions or just assume?
Research, research, research! It can't be emphasized enough. When you have the opportunity to invest in YTB or any home-based business, take the time to find out what the REAL deal is. It's YOUR success riding on the answers. The YTB opportunity will speak for itself!
If you really want to start your own online travel business visit my Web sites and get the information you need to make an informed choice. YTB is no scam. The sooner you get the facts the sooner you can get on the road to financial success through your online business.

You have explained the YTB opportunity very well. Is it a scam? I have personally booked travel on a YTB site and was very happy with price and ease of booking. And I researched the prices and found YTB to be very competitive. I have met others that have been very pleased with YTB both as consumers of travel and as RTA's. I don't know anyone that thinks YTB did not deliver on the promise.

Is YTB a Scam!!!! OR Not? This is always a matter of perception with all so called Scams and you can read about perception http://a1simplebiz.com/recommends/scam_or_not of scam and you make your decision on this matter. If YTB is a Scam then why would the Canadian Government allow this company to register a this business in Canada on Feb 8, 2008
In order to do business of this type in Canada - YTB had to prove various thing's to the authorities that would allow operations to open.... We have rules and Regulations to operate and sell Travel... It's called legislation! YTB opened and is taking off like a California wild fire. This is a business opportunity! Not a scam... for those of you that failed at this business I simply say you failed not YTB... Where can you start a business for $500 especially in the travel industry – that’s a steal, not a scam. This is a one time payment of $500 to write off travel on your income tax yearly... that’s another steal!!!!
This also allows you the opportunity to show other how they get into the industry, which is the world’s largest and fastest-growing industry. Nationwide travel already amounts to more that $1.3 Trillion yearly, and worldwide travel currently tops $7 Trillion. It is growing 23% faster than the global economy and is expected to double to $14 Trillion by the end of the decade.$500 to make your home dwelling a tax right off for your yearly bills –that’s a great steal.
This business will save you around $1,000 to $1,800 a year with the tax man, so your first year pays for itself. Plus, you'll be able to Travel and have the ability to write it off as a business operating expense at the end of the year through your Home based business. This business is a great tax shelter why wouldn't you want your friends and families to do this? or at least know about it!
I may not be a rocket scientist but price compare a trip (flight) on Expedia and then go to my webpage http://www.snoopytravel.com and check out the same flights... then do this with orbitz and whoever else you can find and tell me if YTB a scam. There are all the major airlines, hotels, cruise lines, vacation package, golf resorts and car rentals.
