By HubPages

In order for HubPages to remain the best place to publish online, it is important that we all work together to improve the quality of the content on the site. For this reason, HubPages has moderated many Hubs that need improvements. We understand that this can feel overwhelming or frustrating to some of our valued Hubbers, but we believe it is the only way to ensure the site's health. We greatly appreciate all of our Hubbers and are grateful for those of you that continue to be positive members of our community and update your Hubs to a higher quality.

We should start off by saying, if this is the first time one of your Hubs has been moderated, don't worry. Even staff members have had their Hubs moderated; we all have room for improvement! If you're confused about why your Hub was moderated or flagged, hopefully we can help you understand the reasons behind the moderation and give you a few tips on how to change your Hub so that it meets the HubPages Terms of Use.

At the bottom of this Hub, you will find links to other Learning Center entries breaking down each violation.

What is a Warning?

Warnings are basically a "heads up" that HubPages sees your content as a possible violation. If you see a warning on one of your Hubs, make sure that your Hub does not violate our Terms of Use. If your Hub follows our Terms of Use, simply disregard the warning and continue writing your fabulous Hubs! If your warning lets you know that your Hub cannot be published, and you are confident that your Hub meets our TOS, then please email us at team@hubpages.com

Warnings and Emails

HubPages has two ways of letting you know a Hub is being unpublished or could be in danger of being unpublished: warnings and emails. When a Hub is being published, you may receive a warning that the content quality is not up to HubPages's standards. You may also see a warning on your My Account page letting you know that we are unsure about your Hub. If this warning is not applicable to your Hub, then you may disregard it. However, if you know your Hub needs to be edited, we recommend doing it now so that it does not become unpublished by one of our moderators.

The second way that HubPages lets you know that a Hub doesn't make the grade, is by sending you an email. Today, if you receive an email, it means that your Hub has been unpublished. If you would like your Hub republished, you must change your Hub to meet our standards and submit it for republication. If you're confused about the email that you have been sent, click on the link that best suits your moderation reason.

What to Do if Your Hub is Moderated

If you receive an email that your Hub has been unpublished, you have an opportunity to edit it and make it compliant with our Terms of Use. If you would like to make changes to the Hub in order to make it less promotional, please do so. When you are ready to have HubPages review it again, click the "Submit for Publication" button. We will review your Hub and, if appropriate, republish it. If your Hub is republished, you will receive an email letting you know. This process can take up to 72 hours. Please remember, Hubs without substantial improvement will not be republished, and we will be monitoring any changes made to Hubs after republication. If you have any other questions, feel free to email team@hubpages.com

Thank you for being a valuable member of the HubPages community!
