Getting Traffic - Following Hubbers and Topics

In a Hubber's profile you can see the number of people who are "following" him or her. Most get their high numbers of followers by simply publishing quality content and people subscribe so they can get an announcement when the Hubber next publishes again. If you follow another Hubber and leave insightful comments on their Hubs, they might follow you too.

You can also leave them fan mail on their profile.

It works both ways of course. Others can subscribe to you by joining your fan club and they'll be notified when you next publish a Hub. And they can leave fan mail on your profile. Which you can choose to accept or deny.

To join a Hubber’s fan club: Go to his/her profile page, and click the “Follow [Hubber’s Name]” link in the box to the right.

You can also join the fan clubs of your favorite topics (click this link) which allows you to know in your Hubtivity feed when Hubs or Forum posts on those topics are published. Click through to the category and sub-category (and there are also sub-categories with sub-categories) and click the "Follow This Topic" link when you've found a sub-topic that interests you.

It's a way to connect with other people and be updated when things that interest you are added.
