Let's say that you write a Hub sharing your favorite apple tart recipe and want to include an RSS feed of other recipe Hubs you have authored. Is it possible to set your RSS Capsule so that it shows only your Hubs related to a certain keyword? Absolutely! Here's how:

  1. Go into edit mode for your Hub
  2. Add an RSS Capsule (you might want to add it to the end of your Hub, right before the Comments Capsule, or as a column to the right of your main Text Capsule)
  3. Click the edit button
  4. Add the following URL as the feed URL (adding in, of course, your username and a tag): http://hubpages.com/author/username/tag/hot?rss
  5. Set the maximum number of items you might want to display, select your display method, and click the Preview RSS button
  6. Check to make sure the resulting RSS feed is to your liking; if it is not, adjust the Feed URL accordingly
  7. Click save
  8. Republish your Hub

Related RSS

Just a reminder, that your RSS feed MUST have related Hubs displayed.  An RSS feed with unrelated Hubs will be moderated.

Additional Considerations:

  • The "tag" part of the Feed URL will determine which of your Hubs will show up.
  • If you put "cars" in this part of the URL, your Hubs with the tag "cars" will show up.
  • Please note that tags are different from general keywords in your Hub - hence, if you wrote a Hub about cars, but didn't include a "cars" tag, it will not show up in that RSS feed until you add the tag.
  • Use a plus sign in place of spaces in your Feed URL (example: http://hubpages.com/author/your+username/chosen+tag/hot?rss)
  • Right before the "?rss" part of the Feed URL, you can set whether you'd like the feed to be of your "latest," "hot," or "best," Hubs.
  • If you want your latest Hubs to show up, your URL will end with ".../latest?rss"
