Please Remember...

RSS Capsules can only have feeds that are related to your Hub. Unrelated articles are not useful to your reader and aren't allowed under our Terms of Service.

The RSS Capsule displays headlines based on a RSS feed URL. If, for example, you would like to include the most recent posts from your favorite blog in one of your Hubs, you would use the RSS Capsule to do so.

To include the RSS Capsule in your Hub:

  1. Click its icon and reposition it as desired.
  2. Click the "edit" button and add a subtitle if you like.
  3. Enter the RSS feed URL into the box and use the dropdown menu to select the number of items from the RSS feed you would like to display.
  4. Select your display method. You can choose to share a full description, a shortened description, or only the first sentence of a new item.
  5. Click "Preview current RSS". You'll see the most recent headlines from your designated source. If no results come up and text at the bottom of your capsule reads “This does not appear to be a valid RSS feed,” check to make sure that the URL you’re copying is indeed set up for RSS feeds and re-enter the URL into your text box. To ensure that no typos are made, it is best to cut and paste instead of manually copy characters.
  6. If you are happy with your results and want to make no more changes, click "save".
