A Brilliant Mind, a Shame to Waste ( a poem of inspiration)
Your splendid inner vision, so escaped all boundaries, to set you free,
Helen, what a beautiful mind you possessed, you helped us all to see.
He was not like other boys, invented his own toys, Leon's great intellect,
As an artist, extraordinaire, fantastic intelligence, demanded all's respect
Grand composer of music, finest orchestration, deserving of every ovation.
Beethoven, a musician's mentor, your songs are all a marvelous creation.
Who could judge this artist, say that he was deaf, limited in his capabilities,
He soon did prove them wrong, was a giant among musicians, his abilities
Who back then to know, Michelangelo, was to be praised and to have such fame,
It proves that true beauty, lies within, has much more in value, than just a name.
Wonderful sculptor, artist, fine painter of the Sistine Chapel, that of such attention,
His talented hands, an extension of his mind, a brilliance beyond comprehension.
Grandin and Edison, who both suffered terribly in youth, and was to be so unfair,
These great overcomers, rare, their minds, mental capacities, beyond compare.
Tesla, Mental genius, orchestrator, innovator, his intellect was beyond reproach,
Modern writers, actors, artists, struggled, not to accept limitation in their approach.
Not handicaps, just interference, this to overcome, with their persistence,
As we all may do the same, when facing daily challenges, of its resistance.
Our own minds, greatest storehouses and as generators, of the fabulous,
Challenges add credence to each, make success as sweet, is miraculous.
