A COLD WINTERS NIGHT By Leokadia Durmaj
A Cold Winters Night
Leokadia Durmaj, Australia
A rainbow of dreams is unfolding before my eyes,
Glistening snowflakes cover the earth outside.
Snuggling up on a blanket near a blazing fireplace,
Sipping hot chocolate with melting marshmallows’
Stealing sweet kisses from your soft delicious lips,
Smiling, hugging, being playful, teasing you just a little ~
On this beautiful cold winters night,
A picturesque dream unfolds outside.
There is a stillness that only time sets free,
As snowflakes tumble to the ground beneath,
I see a glow of shimmering colours reflecting;
Creating magic, just like a rainbow in all our dreams
Winter’s dreams can be lonely and still ~
Thou promise of love evolving, radiates warmth within.
The taste of pleasures in the rising flame ablaze,
Can lay witness to more treasures lost in passions embrace ~
Locked within my breath, I sigh at the night’s sweet invite,
Beneath all the heavenly stars; here I rest in your arms tonight.
