A Christmas Card For You

Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year 2013

Christmas is here

We finally made it

What a long year

A snow covered ground but no frosty to be found

Presents under the tree with the lights still shining

Get up, get up

Enjoy all your family and friends

Keep your loved ones close to your heart

That's where Christmas really starts

Watch the children play

Have a great day

Times may be tough

Even if we didn't get everything we wanted

I think it will all work out

I have lived this long and Santa has been good to me

What I miss I soon will forget

What I have is so much more than I can describe

God Bless the soldiers who protect us from harm

May this day be one of endless hugs and kisses

That we can talk about from years to come

Tell me your story and I will tell you mine

I start off my day different than most

A day off from work makes me happy

Exchanging holiday wishes all morning long

Eating the rest of the day is my plan

Stopping along the way

Seeing all the people who matter most

Then when the day turns dark

Sadly I say

This day is over

But not to worry another Christmas will come again

Only 365 more days

I can't wait

The good news is this; there will ALWAYS be another Christmas. Some are good, some are bad, sad, illness, heartbreak, disappointment...a year ago I was in the hospital on Christmas eve and too weak to even buy a card, a gift, or cook. THIS year was wonderful, family gathering, big dinner...while my husband's co worker sat at his mother's bedside Christmas eve and watched her draw her last breath. One year I had the Asian flu. And so it goes. Each Christmas God is in control, and it is wonderful to know that no matter what is going on, Christmas will never not be. Wonderful hub with your personal thoughts about Christmas.

Voted up and useful. God bless, and Merry Christmas Sparklea :)

That's how it is always. Christmas comes so quickly and goes just as quickly and leaves us waiting for it again.

Hi Michael.

Indeed, very nice Christmas Card for 'me'. "Christmas" is so special and meaningful, I made decision ' joy to the world ...' to keep in my heart everyday, because of the gift, Emmanuel - God with us - He is with me , so with you and all " good will people." Have the best year 2014 ever!

Voted interesting.
