A Conundrum of The Shattering

upon a time

Not long ago

a slip

nothing more

light went out

its body tinkling

faster then eyes

the one who slipped

tried to amend

but in so doing

forgot a thing

what she did

could only be deficiently done

Shards travel

defy the mind

and end up seeking pain

drawing blood at will

a pain to unwittingly find

So why should she bother

because she should

will it help

perhaps it will

in the end

it shows a change within

a will to make amends

can anything really be fixed

can the error be undone

the fallout be contained

a thing set at not

to be not found again

have a care

do what you will

still if you do

have a care

the ripples come back to you

or to other not on their guard

innocents without number

pain unintended

consequences eternal.

hey jf, i'll comment. your mind boggles even mine. your interest in shattered glass is intriguing. i think you might just be a grand illusionist who can make reality disappear and reappear as something that doesn't exist and never will. a true magician with words. i liked it!

*the illusionist bows* life is really an illusion you know? That which we see is not nearly as real as that which we feel. Thank you for the flattery and the read. You are always welcome.

The convergence of contradictions

soon turn the conundrum into a confusion :)

Is this about forgiveness? This is how I am reading it (that's my first read though). I've battled with conception of forgiveness for so long. Easier said than done, especially when eternal consequences are in question...

More the inverted concept of repentance. Forgiveness comes when one has changed one's nature so as to not be capable of repeating the prior offence. This process is repentance. It isn't really necessary for this to be painful. Usually it only hurts because people want to hold onto the past nature while still not being held accountable for the screw up that makes them desirous for redemption. One cannot have it both ways.

It sounds simple, but I only recently started to understand this process. And how important it is to let go. I have to remind myself every day but it gets easier...

keep at it, eventually it will seem second nature. It helps to replace the past desire with something else that you desire more.

Suddenly, it became really easy. Didn't need time, just needed to feel threathened. When you realise you may not have a chance to go forward, you let the past go in seconds... Hmm...

amazing isn't it? The miracle of facing mortality.

And ironic. We all face mortality. But only when we are in a situation that reminds us of it (a threat, sickness, accident, etc), we realise that and start "living". It's not just me, it's how majority of humans react.

No, its not just you. It is the majority of humanity that often uses such traumas as a reset. The difficulty lays when the shock has worn off and you find yourself start to try to homogenize the experience in with the rest of your life's collage. I applaud the fact that you allow me to have these conversations with you to deal with things. People in general do not like keeping their eyes open.

Ha! I was just sharing a tear thinking that you cannot even imagine how much those conversations mean to me. I'd be interested to hear your comment on the comments in "Accepting The Goodbye" (my last hub).

Another irony: those who want to silence me do not have a clue I have no influence - I can know all their secrets and lay them out in the open - and then I'm laughed at. Maybe they do have a clue and that's why I am safely hubbing on my sofa? One thing I am pretty sure of - they won't allow the shock to wear off so that's no danger for me. Although if you see me posting hubs about butterflies and beautiful worlds united - unfollow me kindly ;)

I don't write such things, not because they don't exist but because the majority of existence has nothing to do with them. A moments pause to enjoy them from time to time helps clear the mind but butterflies have little else to offer. As to worlds united. They will only do so when they all want the same thing without compulsion. That won't happen for a while.

The butterflies was the metaphor for covering the real things with smiles. I absolutely agree there needs to be time for the "little pleasures", ba!, I want all the time to be spent on the unmetaphorical butterflies.

That is what I, too, hope for. That the worlds united won't happen any time soon due to their own greediness. That's our chance. But, when you see me promoting the ideas of it - that's when you know my account had been deminded.

Don't lose hope. Life is the way it is because people in general refuse to acknowledge the real. The real world is beautiful. It is the job of such as I to disillusion if I am allowed so as to show others the real world if the will permit. Once seen though, there is a perpetual desire that aches slightly live in the real even if there is almost too much work to do in the world of other's illusions before that world can be a place to reside.
