A Day Long Predicted
A Day to be Avoided...
The World Under the Knife!
There has been an invasion of Europe by a great many Muslims. Some countries cannot cope with this influx. All the countries affected will never be the same again.
Some of the people coming into Europe are fleeing violence. Others are infiltrators seeking to undermine Europe from within.
A great many Muslims are expected to journey to Australia and also the UK and the USA. Those countries are most likely never to be the same again.
In France there have been attacks upon French democracy by radical Muslims.
Greed, famine and war appear to be with us today. When writers speak out against these things or against radical religions pushing these things they are attacked.
If the world of humans has any chance of survival in the future our writers need our respect and our protection. Without our writers you might as well wave goodbye to civilization as we have known it.
A DAY CAME!
A day came when a man, fishing, stood no chance of catching a fish. On this day, a day without sign of redemption in the sky, the last fisherman took his knife, approached both a scientist and a preacher and dutifully stabbed them to death, revenging an eon of calamity caused by both disciplines lacking discipline.
In 1798 Reverend Thomas Malthus laid out his fears for the future in An Essay on the Principle of Population. He felt that is human population grew unchecked it would eventually result in mass starvation.
Attempts have been made to discredit Malthus but it has to be understood that there is some truth to his writings that have become self evident in the 20th and 21st Centuries.
Malthus' approach to the subject of human population might seem cold for a reverend. Even so he knew his subject well. Among preachers the Reverend Thomas Malthus should be regarded as one of the good ones.
In 1877 the Malthusian League was formed. It pushed for the discussion of and then the use of methods of contraception.
The league was chiefly involved with the education the public about the importance of family planning. The league was generally concerned about the poverty of working class British and how this poverty could be traced back to over population.
It certainly explained the slums and the over crowding. The League came to an end in 1927.
Women's Rights movements both in Britain and Australia in the 19th and 20th Century were concerned with birth control. Too many children did, in fact, point toward poverty. It also pointed to a lack of social and political mobility.
In 19th Century Britain and the USA industrialization seemed to be the answer to increases in the population. For a time this seemed to work out.
Then it was noted that industrialization on the large scale necessary led to a great deal of pollution of the land, the sea and the air. Efforts in the 20th and now the 21st Century have been made to curb this pollution.
There is a popular American 1920s song Ain't We got Fun? It deals with the subject of poverty. One line from the song stick in my mind and covers what was happening and what is still happening nicely: 'The rich get rich and the poor get children.'
Charles Darwin had it right in that species given the time can adapt to new environments. The question is how much time do they need?
In Australia as well as elsewhere species are disappearing at an alarming rate. And once they are extinct there's no way known as yet to humans to bring them back.
Today David Suzuki travels the world hoping to convince people to be more responsible when it comes to the environment.
In 1948 Our Plundered Planet came out. It was written by Fairfield Osborne and dealt with the environmental destruction of our world perpetrated by humankind.
Research into human overpopulation of our planet has been going on a long time.In 1968 Stanford University Professor Paul Ehrich wrote The population Bomb warning of the mass starvation of humans in the future thanks to huge increases in the human population of the planet.
The United Nations has also been keeping tabs over the years on the increases in world human population but seems powerless to do anything about it.
We have yet to reach the point of no return when it comes to over fishing our planet or warming it up to where the corral dies and then other sea life. There is still hope that there won't come a day...
WHAT THE ABOVE MEANS
THIS IS ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW!
THIS YEAR! TODAY! GREED AND OVERPOPULATION!
The song Little Boxes by Malvina Reynolds says a great deal about where we are headed. Children forced to live in high rise apartments and units in NSW, Australia because of the greed to of other people to overpopulate in other countries.
No more houses with gardens, swings and backyards because of this horrid greed. Nothing but cramped little boxes. A nightmare!
Malvina saw it coming in 1962. Of course at the time Malvina might have been talking about houses that all look the same but how worse is it if the boxes are bland, faceless units in high-rises instead?
USE YOUR BRAIN! Think about it!
No fish! What a tragedy that would be. It is a tragedy best to be avoided if at all possible. It can still be done if plans are made and responsibility is taken.
David Attenborough hasn't given up on humanity. In a recent documentary he has shown how the world's oceans are being fished out thanks to advancements in both technology and in human population growth.
According to Attenborough, however, it is not too late to start putting things right. Greed isn't good when the result is zero fish to be had.
The preachers can stop hurting and start helping when it comes to human population levels. And i don't just mean the Christian preachers but the whole sorry lot including the Muslim clerics.
There was a time long, long ago when human population was so low that humanity might disappear altogether. One catastrophe and no more humans on the face of our planet. But the thing is this: that REALLY was a long, long time ago.
Unfortunately, the preachers with their holy books cannot apparently realize this. They see the evidence that times have indeed changed a LOT in front of them every day and then consult their holy books and say to themselves God or Allah or someone, somewhere will make it all right.
The truth is we are the ones who should be making it all right. But how when it is so difficult to get government on side? Even when government is on side it isn't always helpful.
The Greens party in Australia has recently discovered that using the stick rather than the carrot can be politically disastrous. The carbon tax imposed on Australians was a failure because it hit the poor and middle class hard but left industry and the fat cats alone.
It was use of the stick to get people to reduce their use of electricity and it was unfair. If everyone was taxed the same with this carbon business it might have stood a chance of succeeding. Even so, people don't generally relate well to the use of the stick.
Human population needs to be curbed. The ignorant on this issue and the holy rollers need to be brought into reality. If this does not happen then we will all be in real strife.
Back in the 18th and 19th Centuries the British saved themselves from the horrors of over population by sending their excess population to Australia.
Of late in the 21st Century it has started up again in earnest with more and more British choosing to make a live for themselves down under. This, however, cannot be a permanent solution. Australia is a finite place as is the rest of the world.
Back in the 1970s Cat Stevens asked in a song an important question for then and also for now.
Where do the children play? We take away the grass, we pour concrete and we chop down trees for various reasons.
Parks either get smaller or have to cater for more and more people as the population expanse. You tell your kids to go run and play and they ask where they can do such things.
IS THERE HOPE FOR THE FUTURE?
Yes, of course there's hope! As humans we simply have to get our acts together and heed the warnings around us.
