A Fairy Tale Fugitive

Source

The Story Teller

His stories were often eloquent,

silver hair, smooth face,

he wove several stories with grace,

there was no confusion,

as his words created an illusion,

it shook you with feelings,

from moment to moment,

his tales went from floor to ceiling,

sorrow sometimes,

and his character cries,

but in his stories, no one dies,

his words would scrutinize,

sometimes with great intensity,

and the fantasy was difficult to realize,

he'd go on and wouldn't stop,

so compelling your body would begin to drop,

as you try in vain to speak,

but your mind would grow weak,

you couldn't even initiate dialogue,

as you try to break his concentration with a scream,

his mouth filled with crooked teeth,

and then you realized it was just a dream.

I love the line 'his tales went from floor to ceiling', great image.

Is it a writer's nightmare or just a bad dream? I think we get so immersed sometimes, it has to come out somehow! Mind you, some articles I read here are enough to give you nightmares; certainly not yours I hasten to add.

Brilliant poetry. You are so versatile but the ability to create atmosphere pervades.

Enjoy your weekend!

Ann
