A Haiku - Anger
The only cure for anger is self-discipline, and both aspects of our human nature are among the most difficult to master. Master both and we can expect longer lives, and probably longer lives for those around us!
Here is a combined series of Haiku poems intended to address our angry impulses.
Do you suppose that
We are made for harsh anger?
It seems to swell fast.
Anger killed Abel.
Or was it simply some greed?
Even both it seems.
The Holy Spirit
Cannot rest easy on us
With our angry face.
Choosing less anger?
Redirect that anergy?
And live longer too?
I must choose my peace.
Can righteous anger remain?
Peace must start with me.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

What defines a true leader? It isn't just charisma and sensing their power. It isn't just making us afraid so we are mobilized. It's being true, honest, fair, up front, and out front. This Haiku examines leadership.
