A Haiku Collection

Life is short. Fill it full.
Life is short. Fill it full. | Source

This collection of American Haiku is arranged alphabetically from "Family Evening" to "Jesus The Christ" each in the standard 5-7-5 syllables form.

A Haiku - Fellowshipping

Together as one,

We share this precious moment,

When sharing counts most.

A Haiku - Freedom

"Freedom isn't free." So,

Am I free, if you are not?

Pray, then act to be.

A Haiku - Habit

Walking: a habit.

We practiced it so long ago.

What do we learn now?

A Haiku - History

Learn from others lives:

The best, the joyous, the fools.

Life should be "a first."

A Haiku - Home

Home is our center.

It is what the "we" make it.

All else springs from there.

A Haiku - Humanity

The human family:

I am not human as "me"

I must share in "we".

A Haiku - Integrity

Integrity means:

Honest and true to myself,

To others, and God.

A Haiku - Jesus The Christ

Savior, Redeemer,

Example of the selfless;

Now be as He is.

A Haiku - Family Evening

Once a week a night

To spend together and share.

We gather....just us.

A Haiku - Forgiveness

What can't I forgive?

"Do unto others" applies here.

Once burned, twice cautious.

A Haiku - God The Father

"One God" it is true.

His offspring we surely are.

He receives our prayers.

A Haiku - Happiness

What is the measure?

Of all the goals we seek: "happy"

Found as we gave it.

A Haiku - Holy Ghost

A presence in life

Received with protective joy.

Unseen but present.

A Haiku - Hope

Build it to last you.

Lost, it and all is soon lost.

Hope is life's anchor.

A Haiku - Inspiration

What inspires your best?

A book? A film? Examples?

It comes unbidden.

The Road of Life will take you to many places, but remember that the journey is the goal.

This is so well compiled, moving from one to another and finishing with 'Jesus..' You've covered, presumably intentionally, life's important messages and actions. The words are gentle but profound.

My favourite here is 'Freedom'; it sits well and made me think hard.

btrbell - We just did some major travel through your state, stopping in Page. I can imagine you are filled with "hope" that winter's cooling effect is coming early this year, but the beauty that surrounds you is world famous. Thanks for also stopping by again, commenting, and scoring this one.
