A Haiku - Courage

The courageous are everywhere that turmoil and struggle exist.

Fortitude and heroism are not just military qualities from battlefields of strife.

If you know of a courageous person, follow their example.

Uncertainty strikes.

Health deteriorates, shocks.

Romances crumble.

Children drift away.

But courage gives strength to pray.

Strive on; hope today.

When strength too is gone,

And night sets in, sleep denied,

Take heart. You will win.

Angels with you now

Know each and all your wishes.

Fresh days lie ahead.

Could we but see days

Bright and blue with sunshine too,

Courage never dies.

Valor is found here.

It rests in the heart and soul.

Courage true abounds.

Feel God grant your wish,

Omnipotent, sure, ... He can

Fresh lifetime give you.

It made me think that I had better eat right, keep writing, find joy, have courage and keep God in my heart so I can find new miracles in my life. I can not explain why your poem made me think like that. Thank you for write that awesome Haiku about courage.

flashmakeit: Words, whether thought, written, spoken, or whispered, can have a life changing impact, if the words written do that for you, I could not be more pleased. Life is ahead, not behind.

Your few words say a whole lot. Really enjoyed reading this Haiku. I wonder if anyone knows if they have courage until they are tested.

picklesandrufus: I guess that to answer your question we will first have to find someone who has never been tested, right? Glad you enjoyed reading this one.

My courage comes from the Lord. I pray first and then move on to some challenge.

Gypsy Rose Lee: Hopefully there is always time for at least a quick prayer. It is not always so, but the Lord always knows what is in your heart and is always there to give you the courage to move on with the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

always exploring: Courage is being tested by those waving papers in our faces. I believe President Obama by his open support of male to male and female to female legal marriages has chosen to speak for the few while ignoring the law and the many. We are taught to love the sinner and hate the sin. We are not taught to condone the sin and make it our law. Where is such leadership taking this country? It is not a time to be silent.

Hi Demas! What powerful Haikus about courage and valor.. I cannot resist being laudatory when I finish reading your work.

Your imagination and the way you say far more than the words you put in is a gift to all of us here!

Indeed! Courage.. outsourced in healthy ways at the right moments is necessary for the human soul; Courage defines camaraderie, it defines selflessness.. There are so many abstract morals of which courage is an integral Part

Thank you for this wonderful Hub!

rahul0324: Today is testing my courage. It is always so easy to be quiet as a church mouse. Today I had to speak for my beliefs and against the strident beliefs and demands of others. I will be a lightning rod for some with whom I am in disagreement and I have seen the names they seek to attach to others who hold to a separate set of beliefs and values. I will nonetheless state what I believe and let others say what they will freely.

Frank Atanacio: Thank you, Frank. What do you think of courage on behalf of a lost cause? Is there courage in speaking up when it would be perhaps politic to be silent? We have six months to find out. Stay tuned.

raciniwa: This is a day (Memorial Day 2012) for us to reflect on courage and all that it takes to be courageous in so many challenges we face, and what it took for sometimes terrified young men and women to give their last ounce of courage and devotion in the face of what at times were terrible odds, in places and circumstances with tests of their courage we can only imagine.

Have the courage to fervently wish for some desire of your heart. Whether it is a large or a small wish an angel will hear and respond at the "just right" time. Never give up wishing, for wishing makes it so.
