Rain from a dark sky,

Sprouts from loamy soil gardens.

Flowers bright with sun.

Your haiku paints a picture and makes me look so forward to spring. Nicely done. Voted up, among others!

Thanks VL. It is a dull, grey, rainy day here today, but the mind's eye can still display the sun-brightened glories of spring. Can you close your eyes and not have it "fade to black"?

This makes me long for spring flowers--but we need the rain this year so I am not complaining--nice piece!

I loved your comparison of spring to love and marriage! Refreshing rain that nurtures the earth...and then the kids. Beautiful and up, sir!

I really liked this Haiku. Looking forward to more. Made me think of spring on a gloomy, snowy day.
