A Heart Thief
Is love really beautiful or
Does it carry the woes of one’s heart tears?
Holding back from a broken heart fears
A broken heart is hard to mend
Always wondering if you have to defend
What your true emotions reflect
Having to pick and choose and select
A shattered heart, left to pick up
Piece by piece placing them in its death cup
Trying to glue the pieces back together
But never finding the sun in today’s weather
When you go to reach for the last piece
It’s nowhere to be found please call the police
A thief was spotted but cannot be found
He left when he saw me reaching for the ground
He took it a piece of my heart and left a hole
The night I fell in love and he stole
It from me he ran without thinking
How it would make feel when he left me sinking
In my own bath of tears that ran deep
Leaving me to stand on this rubbish heap
Will I ever find my missing piece that was taken?
Or will always live in a life of love forsaken
I call upon the heavens atmosphere
And kneel to the highest element I dear
Will I find the piece to my puzzle?
Or will I forever hold my heart in a muzzle
