A Keepsake for My Granddaughter Cayden

To Cayden With Love

You are my twinkle, my little star

I love you just the way you are.

Sweet smiles, cute giggles

and funny little wiggles;

I can’t help but give you

a bunch of little tickles.

When you see me coming

and get that big grin,

my heart almost burst

from the joy within.

When you grab my hand

with your tiny little fingers,

your trust is so warming

that the feeling lingers.

You give me a great big kiss

and a giant bear hug,

I give them both back to you

filled with all my love.

If I were to count

I might run out of numbers,

of all your funny faces;

you are such a wonder.

All I want to say

on this Special Day,

is a Granddaughter to Love

is a Gift from above!

Love Nana

Very nice job on this. I have five grandkids, four granddogs, and seven grandcats. I love them all. The oldest grandchildren are almost ready to graduate high school but I think it was just last summer when they began to talk. Seems that way anyhow. I remember it took about 17 years for me to go from age fifteen to sixteen...waiting for that driver's license. Now the years seem to have only 3 or 4 months. January, February, March and back to January again.

Beautiful and to the point of what being with a grandchild is like. I have just one grandson and he's my one and only. Nothing is like being his Gramma!

Thanks for sharing your heart!

I am not lucky enough yet to have a granddaughter, but I so look forward to that day. This is a beautiful statement of love.
