A Look Within (inspirational poetry)

Power we find held within us...
Power we find held within us...
When times seem so rough...
When times seem so rough...
Tomorrow seems a hundred miles away...
Tomorrow seems a hundred miles away...
A brighter day awaits us...
A brighter day awaits us...
Just hold on...and to pray...
Just hold on...and to pray...
All the angels watch, above us...
All the angels watch, above us...
Keep us safe in the darkest night...
Keep us safe in the darkest night...

At times in our lives, the whole world seems all dark...

Every avenue, we may take, to be so dull, so stark.

No matter how much we do, or how hard we try...

The happier times, all seem to pass us by.

These are the days...we must reach within us,

Hold on to life, in every shred of its fond length,

There are powers inside...greater hope, to reside,

Our finest of determination, our true strength.

Despite our every move, its best attempt...

Seems this fails in misery, and is exempt.

Tomorrow seems a hundred miles away,

No matter what we try, or even to say.

Those times...the ones, our wills are tried,

Real guts, to ply, pulled from deep inside.

Always in our hearts, beyond our pride...

A message held there and sent, to be applied.

Sometimes we feel there's nothing left...

Strength is gone, as by some evil theft.

Everything we may try or to apply...results in failure,

Then for this challenge, we're not so deft.

Within each human heart, a spirit, is so bold...

All that's right and good, does extol.

There's nothing on this earth, for us to hold...

Beyond the firmest grips of our own soul.

I often share with others in their sorrow and even in pessimism...yet, I want them to understand that we are related in the spirit and may get through the worst of times in our lives together...we are not alone.

I relate to this poem. It is within our souls we have to find our inspiration to keep going. Nice poem. :)

Whou, we've been there before ( I know my past)

but not anymore, " a spirit, is so bold..."

in confidence

... looking up to Dweller of Heaven

He gives

merciful rest.

Voted up and beautiful.

Oh my! Beautiful indeed. On those days we just can not hang onto, we can still hang into.
