A Man With A Heart. His Middle Name Is Kindness.

Micky Dee in Vietnam.
Micky Dee in Vietnam.

A Man With A Heart.

Some men are as hard as nails,

Any attempt at emotion fails,

Others have their feelings hidden,

As though emotions are forbidden.

There is a man who feels so much,

Many things his heart do touch,

And Kindness is his middle name,

And by the rules, he plays the game.

He has deep love within his soul,

yet somehow cannot reach his goal,

He doesn't need to be alone,

But others´ hearts seem made of stone.

A man like this is hard to find,

A giver , who is always kind.

His scars of life, they sometimes show,

But most times you would never know.

The life he´s lived, How much he´s done.

He will not brag---- No! Not this one.

His loving heart just keeps on giving,

I´m sure it will whilst he is living.

So many people don´t see this.

Don´t realise that with his kiss,

They could be loved by someone brave,

A man who wants to others save.

And so he could if they would listen,

His words are wise, his eyes they glisten.

For me I have but one regret.

I love this man I´ve never met.

I love this man I've never met literally, although I do have a personal and intimate relationship with Him. So, in reality, I have met Him and know Him very well, one who I call my King and Lord of my life.

Voted up and sharing +++

God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Awesomme poetry my friend. this is beautiful from start to end.

It is very hard to write an emotional loving piece as this (I know).

Getting all the words to fit just right and express exactly the way your feelings are in your heart to come out . this is perfect, my lovely poet.

I admire this man ...if he is real he is THE MAN...

great write ...

zowie! gorgeous! i'd like one of those too -please..

funny how we can fall in love - without needing to know the physical person..are writers more susceptible to this, i wonder - especially 'real' poets (which i am not..)..

words are truly powerful..i have the utmost respect..

voting up and sharing forward, my friend..

Dim Flaxenwick -

There is probably nothing quite like an island-isolated, dotty, old, and aging hippy. Never did meet up with one of those - and scared that I might do so nose-to-nose sometime. :-)

Enjoyed reading your fine poem. Plan to query my doc next time I visit his lair so as to find out my own cardiac geography. It's in there somewhere. Time I located the thing, right?

Gus :-)))

Mhatter00.......... You are welcome to have your own "take" on my poem.

I am grateful that you read so much of my work and leave me uplifting comments.

Take care.

Hi ImKarn23.......

Glad you liked my words. Thank you for your comment.

You could be right that writers are more susceptable to emotions expressed in words without being in the same room or even same country as another.

Take care, Dim

Well Howdy Gus the redneck... Pleased to meet you here on hubpages.

You sound like my kinda guy. Your sense of humour tickles me.

No fear of bumping into this aging hippy since I am still having to live in England. You are safely far enough away.

Can´t wait to read your hubs. Cheers.!!

He, 'da man' sound like the most generous, "Epigrammon" to me. I know of no one more generous, kind or accepting than him.

Fantastically interesting and intriguing poetry, Dim Flaxenwick!

"Epigramman", I should say! I made a cardinal sin, as I typo'd in my comment above. My apologies...

Oh Dim -

Vietnam Vets shouldn't cry,

Should they?

But tears well up,

As I try to say...

God bless you dear,

I try to not cry,

But there's something,

In my eye.

I'll stay the course,

Till I see the reaper,

For God knows,

We are our brother's keeper.

Thank you love,

For thinking of me,

And being my confidant,

Across the sea.

You give me lift,

When I'm so tied down,

You're always there or here,

When no-one else is around.

It's a heart like yours,

That should always be,

Holding my heart,

With lock and key.

.-.-.-.-.-

God bless you dear,

~Micky Dee~

I'm one of the fortunate few -- I've met this man and known him for 22 years -- he never waivers and never changes and has a huge and giving heart. Wonderful poetry and subject. Best/Sis

Dim my friend, your expression of love for a man of depth and substance is heard in sorrow. A man such as this who once knew love admits defeat and now retreats into his soul, although alone he weeps and treats others with his kindness of words he draws from the abyss of past life experiences. There are such men/woman who live off the grid and on the edge of existence, who silently share their existence as best they can with those who understand.

To meet such people and share their thoughts so deep they are are life giving. I would have liked to have meet Edgar A Poe, we would have been friends. Peace and blessings to you dear poet, your expressions of love are devine in this poetic piece you share. Hugs

Hello my friend - always a pleasure , a honor, a thrill and a privilege to find your page.

I wish I could find this 'man' myself and then I would change my sexual orientation in a 'jiffy' .... lol

As always, you write from that big beautiful heart of yours and the results are always magical.

Sending you warm wishes and good energy from Colin and his cats

You are so kind, Colin. You don´t just comment on my writing but you "see" me through my poetry. Or, should I say you see the best of me. I don´t think I am nearly as lovely as you paint me. (But don´t stop! Hee Hee!)

Warm wishes right back at you and your beautiful cats.
