Cats never had so much fun and laughter!
Meeting of the cats ended successfully. Their leader advised them about various tricks which would frighten the dogs. I hope children in particular will find the poem amusing.
There was a meeting of the cats,
Not how to catch all the rats!
But to discuss about dogs at length,
who flex muscles to show strength,
Thousands of cats attended the meeting,
Some were standing, some on the ground sitting,
It’s Lulu, the fat cat of the town,
left all important work to come down
to the jungle at the meeting spot,
at the request of the cats who came or came not.
Guard of honour was given to him
by the cats’ special protection team!
Lulu greeted all the cats by name,
Said 'Those who haven’t come is a shame!'
Then with his secretary he had a chat,
who took some notes and then sat.
Highly confidential matter, only they knew,
Lulu smiled after eating fish fries a few.
Thirsty he was little milk he had,
Said " My dear friends it’s so sad
when I hear the dogs chase you,
You run and then do Mew Mew.
It’s because of the fear you show,
Your strength they actually don’t know!
By strength I mean strength of mind
which we have , in whom else will you find?
It’s high time the stupid dogs know
that they must obey the cats or go,
Go anywhere and be out of sight,
And not foolishly try to pick a fight.
Now be quiet my friends , be cool,
Learn all tricks to make the dogs fool,
Make faces at them ,do the sound Hssssss!
Avail yourself of all chances, don’t miss!
Your claws should be wide open and ready,
You would watch everything and be steady.
Keep your tail up in the air and flaunt !
About their long tongue please don't taunt,
They are actually so fool you know!
Follow their Masters wherever they go!
While they sleep the dogs stay awake and guard,
Such expectation from us is just absurd !
Our comfort and rest are always a must,
Even with love none can win our trust !
Selfish we are, we are happy that way,
No one can fool us at night or during day.
Dog’s barking at night doesn’t make any sense,
They spoil our sleep and make us tense,
Warn them not to bark but if they don’t listen,
I seriously find my friends we have all good reason
to attack them all of a sudden and make them run,
While watching this happen we can dance with fun!
Having said everything I must warn you though,
They are physically stronger than us you must know,
Intelligent as you are , you will not go alone,
Even if you see a single dog chewing a bone,
Or looking at you with his big tongue out,
Try to keep a friend by your side who is strong and stout ,
Cleverly tackle the situation the best way you can,
If you are in trouble pretend you are dog’s fan !
Look here and there, dodge and run,
Jump on a tree and take things as fun,
Use your intelligence and tact every time my dear,
Let dogs keep a distance and never come near.
Think over what I have said when you go to bed,
All my advice should stand you in good stead."
All the cats clapped and cheered, no one had a clue,
The Dinner & Dance that followed continued all night through !
In the morning as they returned hardly any dog was in sight!
A few were behind a tree but they ran away in fright.
This made the cats laugh , so much laughter they never had,
Attending the meeting was really great , all the cats looked so glad.
