A Memory (a poem)

Picture I took in Thailand

I keep you with me

as I walk the streets

dodging the rain

and rushing through my every day.

The rain

is like the time

I went away.

Last look of your face

always in my memory

forever frozen.

Stormy days

don’t bother me

for all I know

is lost in time.

So much to say

cannot be done.

My false memory

an untouchable shadow.

Who you are

unknown to me.

I hide under the awning

await the rain to end

and leave you once again.

The rain always makes me think of the heavens weeping, sad. Your poem just goes that way, too. Liked it very much. Voted up and awesome!

Thanks ExoticHippieQueen. It was raining, and I got inspired and wrote it down right away for once.
