A Most Unusual Proposal ( a poem of greatest hope)
In a most surreal location, sitting around in a huge circular forum,
There, a white member with large eyes and head, in all decorum.
A small grey entity with no nose, slanted eyes, a blank expression,
Members of the extraterrestrial races all joined in an intercession.
The beings at the gathering were of the most unusual kind,
A tall reptilian creature, green scales on all his limbs to bind.
As a large boned blonde and blue-eyed visitor, in attendance,
A cloaked black-eyed member hovered, with no dependence.
A single representative, there, that of our own human race,
Quietly sat in respect did wait, his own message to embrace.
The chair and authoritarian asked if any remarks of interest,
His insect-like head to quiver and shake, with every request.
Several seemed to protest the notion, a god, one creator of all,
How could such a figure to exist, there came a majority to call?
After each expressed their own ideas, about how we came to be,
The human told his comrades there, just to open each eye to see.
Just what is meant by this, they asked... of course, we all do see,
The answer came, how this could be, all to have creation, as we.
Each atom, to exist, a likeness preserved, in every structure made,
As every particle in our majestic universe, its artistry so portrayed.
Each bi-pedal there to look at their limbs, alike how all were made,
They heard with ears and saw with eyes, and none as a charade,
As a mirror in their forms, reflected was all, not any coincidence,
Each was meant to live and survive, to exist, as their own evidence.
Every entity nodded to agree, such a simple, yet profound proposal,
Sometimes the obvious is hidden in the core, so masking its exposal.
Each being at the meeting there, bowed and all walked from sight,
As the reddest sun rose in the eastern sky, to shed the veil of night.
