A Mother's Day Poem - For Mom
On one special Sunday each spring, we take the time to celebrate the woman who gave us life. Throughout our childhood, mother has been there guiding our paths and watching over us. Mother's Day is an opportunity for us to show her our appreciation for all that she has given us over the years.
A Poem for Mother's Day
I pen these words for you Mom,
To honor all you have been to me.
You gave birth to my life,
And planted the seeds of my dreams.
From my very first steps,
Your strength and encouragement guided me forth.
And yet it seems I am seldom able
To show my gratification enough.
So, let me say to you today,
Happy Mother's Day.
As I put these words to paper,
My mind is flooded with memories.
As I moved from youth to adulthood,
You were the constant in my life.
The friend I turned to when I needed
To share a laugh.
And when life was weighing heavy,
You always managed to make me smile.
When the world seemed its darkest,
The light of your love always shined bright.
And so I put these words to to paper,
As I have reached the age of forty three.
I have gained the knowledge to know,
I could never repay the debt I owe to you.
For you see, all I have and all I will
Ever be, is owed to you mother.
If I gave you the world,
It would still fall short.
Rather, I offer these words to you,
Happy Mother's Day!
