Lost and Found

I lost my way today

I lost my way and went astray

I found myself somewhere else

I found myself, in need of help

Not knowing what to do

I turned around to look for you

You lost your way today

You lost your way and went astray

I found myself in need of help

And you were with someone else

Somewhere else is where you’ve been

Somewhere else is where you’ll stay

You’ve gone somewhere else because I lost my way

Race the clock

When we go up we must come down

Soaring up crashing back to the ground

Life’s a roller coaster ride

Either scream out loud or keep it bottled inside

Race against the clock

Keep on going never stop

Make it good this time; it’s your last chance

Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses and learn to dance

The pressures on, make sure you do your best

Keep on going there is no time for rest

You have not made it yet, keep on trying

Who cares if something inside is slowly dying

Pull it all together every one is depending on you

You know inside this is not the best you can do

Strive to reach the stars

This is the role you chose, learn to play the part

Sometimes you wonder if you’re all alone

Sometimes you wonder if it would be better if your heart was made of stone

Then you look into your child’s eyes

And know that you’re full of love deep inside.

Downward spiral

Years gone by and still the pain, I can go on day by day

And then suddenly it hits and I can’t believe

That my heart is still so wrapped up in the past

I move forward so far forward, I fall apart

I am high on my mountain

Then I drop so far, I drop into the earth

One day, two days, three days gone

Who are you, why don’t you just go away?

Can’t go back; can’t move forward.

Stuck in purgatory, laying in wait

Happy days lead the way and open up the gates

The gates of hell, fire, and sacrifice

The fire so hot it burns my eyes

My skin dripping, melting, gone

All I am now is a pile of bones

Bones and ashes torment and shame

Can’t find my way back, I’ll never be the same

I’m not sure who I was

However, who I am now is not enough

I pick up the pieces of my shattered soul

I take a deep breath and get myself under control

One step two steps three steps four

Soon you will be watching as I step out the door

I will rise, rise so far

You won’t be able to recognize me through my scars

My beauty has disappeared,

Marked by reality throughout the years

My heart once gentle has turned to stone

I would like nothing more than to be left alone

Sometimes as your walking around in the torrential downpours of life
you look up to find there is a kaleidoscope of light. It's hard not to stop and hold your breath praying let this be, my beacon my hope. As the flood gates open and you allow yourself to cry let the light wash away my pain, my disappointments, and my despair. As you drop to your knees beg and plead; raise your hands to the heavens. "Change my life, make me who I’m supposed to be" You scream. Sometimes your whole world becomes a kaleidoscope of color and when you look up you realize the rain has stopped.

Very honest hub that I think alludes more to confusion than a search for meaning among wanderings. Your realism though, is emotional and moving.
