A Poem- At six years old
His life has made my world more beautiful
You bring the sunshine to cloudy days
At six years old,
The world is still so new.
So much is left to discover,
In the years awaiting you.
You are so full of life,
Yet I am not sure you know,
How very special you are,
And how you have helped my world grow.
You entered this world with a smile,
One that put a smile on my face,
I am so blessed to have you here,
You make each day a better day.
Although you are still learning,
What is right and what is wrong.
I can’t help but admire you,
For never giving up- even when I say No.
Always a funny face or a joke to make others smile
Never will you ever understand how much you are loved
You color the world in your pictures,
You color the meaning of life,
You play a game I thought I had forgotten,
And you have put meaning back into my life.
You are patient with me,
Even when I lost my patience with you
You remind me of what is important
And these times will be gone too soon
Although I am still learning
What parenting is all about
I can guarantee you one thing
I am so glad I have you to help me figure it out
For your sixth year
I wish only the best of times
To spend extra moments,
Just being by your side.
I love you far more
Than you could ever know
You have simply stolen my heart,
And are my favorite boy- In the whole wide world.
Growing up too fast for mom.
Happy Sixth Birthday to my beautiful Collin. You have definitely turned my world upside down, and I am so thankful for that. Thank you for simply having the courage to be you, which has allowed me to gain the strength to be me. I am blessed every single day to be your mother, and I love you with every breath I take.
