A Scream Flooded The Air

Guardian Angel

The only sound in the room

was the ticking from a clock,

as she allowed his glare

to run through her like an electric shock,

his long and empty stare

conveyed a look of disgust, mistrust,

then a scream flooded the air,

like dust,

she knew,

that his anger grew,

he was like a dark cloud,

his thunder was loud,

like a swarm of angry bees,

it’s her face he sees,

as she welcomed death,

as he cursed beneath his breath,

she held no illusions about

her prospects of escape,

she welcomed her doom,

a shocked silence

had descended over the room,

words were preachless,

and the angry man had remained speechless,

he was her guardian angel, the only one,

but she took her own life,

and his job, reluctantly done.

Great poem. Read how the anger grew to a burst. It is well written full of emotion and a bit of sad moments. Great poem. Fantastic

...and a sigh came from my heart after reading such a dramatic and soulful poetic rendering from a fabulous writer such as yourself. If there's a good chance of a writer picking the right words, well you just did it.
