A Sense poem

A Sense

A Sense

Now you speak of your week

The dreams, the thoughts

This week could have been

The darkest week, my heart traveled in

As you sleep do you walk into my mind

Opening doors of future time

Are they past tense in a sense,

A journey of cultivated waves

Dreams of words

Fair thee, I thought but how silly

Of my generous nature to my friends

Instead an ear that turns deaf

To not hear of the presence sense

A heart that is cold , that I did know

Handing it flowers to store once from my soul

Little sense that I knew

but was told this

We will see what we will see

So I kept giving this part of me

Tears can refresh but I hate them

In a sense

For the salt licks my cheeks

My heart no longer sees

Thanks Audrey this is in fact a vocal spoken word piece, too bad we can't place sound waves on here. Again thank you for reading.
