A Simple Smile Will Do

Today is like every day

The same old routine

Nothing out of the ordinary

Some people would be bored

Not me

Some people would curse

Not me

I don't have to do anything special

When my day seems to be just like the day before

That day very similiar to the day before that

All I can do is smile

I practice smiling

I see how long I can keep my smile

When I feel the slight numbness in my forehead and my teeth begin to hurt I stop

Why is it I want to smile so much

The answer is so clear and obvious

I love to smile

I begin with the feeling that makes me think of everything great

Then I concentrate and focus

There are so many things to smile about

Lets begin with I enjoy the feeling I get when I smile

I never have to fake a smile

A smile is born every three seconds

Who doesn't appreciate a new baby ?

A new baby smile that is

One that starts off like all the rest but still has something so unique

I can't seem to put my finger on it

Then I realize I don't have to

Is it in the lips ?

Is it in the delivery ?

Both are very good reasons

I think it goes deeper than that

It is always sincere and fresh

It comes natural and no need to use hair dye when we get older

It is so simple when others say it is a pain

I think it is the comfort feeling when you reassure other people things are going to be alright

You would be surprised

It becomes contagious

One smile leads to one more

Then we all are making smiles by the thousands

We have found a way to mass produce smiles

Henry Ford would be proud

Not for profit or any other motive

They feel good and they make other people feel good

That is all I have to know

I am so glad I had free time today

I have been practicing my smile all day

Each time I smile I feel a feeling in my whole face

That soon spreads to my whole body

I couldn't be happier if you smled once for me

Then soon one becomes no challange and you want three

You eager beaver that is who you are

I don't know where the first smile got its start

I tried to google it and came up blank

I am guessing it started when one caveman said to the other

Did you see that cave girl ?

I was too busy practice smiling because it makes my mouth feel funny

Well she thought you were smiling at her and she smiled back

Well I am not going to stop smiling now

Matter of fact I think I am going to do this more often

You should try it too

It worked for you and I seen how happy she was

Now I don't have to sit alone at the fire tonight

I am going to be smiling for a very long time

Maybe dusk to dawn

You just watch those fire flies as they light up in approval

Who knows what comes next ?

The first kiss

Wow a smile opens up the world I never seen before

What comes after that I can't say

I am too busy trying to wash the blush off my smile

I think I changed my mind

I will keep both the smile and me blushing

Then after that I see only good

Now I know I will be smiling in my sleep

I don't want to forget how to smile and it only takes seconds

Smiling back on the world that has been made more special

Not because of one smile but because of all the smiles

That I see everywhere they must of had a smile sale

Smile at someone and get two smiles back
