Gentle yet Harsh Memories

yea, I googled myself

Today after all the time tie that has lapsed since my house fire, I remembered the hundreds of poems I had put on line for the last 15 years. Alot of them were posted to sites that no longer exist but I managed to find four. All four of these Poems were written in different Stages of my life and I am still searching for some. As you will read some were after my sisters death, one to inspire and one I wrote the Church Poetry Contest. I just thought I would share them with you. My poetry is as eclectic as everything else in my life.

I Hear....

I hear the whispers of your voice

quietly speaking to me

From far away it seem your whispers are screams

to find your destiny

Look Inside where no one sees

find your child within

let her free from her age

free to live again

yesterday's gone

tomorrow will be anew

The decisions that you make today

will all depend on you

Why?

To those who do not worship me

the ones to blind to see

do you know know your sins I bore

as I hung upon that tree

Do you not think I understand

the suffering that you bear

behold the palms of my hands

they're scarred because I care

Can you not see my Love for you

with thorns upon my brow

The blood I shed for you my child

so you would love me now

I took the sword into my side

it's what I had to do

The I bowed my head and died

with thoughts and cries of you

The Bitter Bill

i'ts lonely here on Earth alone

sometimes I wish to join you

The pain I feel grips my soul

Apart of me is gone

Everything is different but

nothing is the same

I fall apart when I hear

 the mention of your name

The bitter pill I am forced to swallow

just reminds me of you

for all the pills didn't ease your pain

only suffering is what you knew

now i am suffering, your death

has killed me too......

I am looking for more on the net, I lost all hard copies in the fire. Might as well write new ones and make new memories. Thanks for your kind words, they mean alot.

fortunerep, what an inspiring rendition of poems from the heart. I am sorry about the loss of your sister. She would have loved the beautiful way you wrote about your relationship with her. Thank you for sharing your love for your sister and for Christianity to the hubpage community. Keep looking for those poems as I for one would like to read more of what you got tucked away or maybe write new ones. Great poems.

Thanks Tatjana, that is my favorite too, I actually wrote that one while visiting my sisters grave, just wanted to lay there too.

Hawkesdreame, thanks for your compliment, it is amazing the things that come to mind when you're in emotional pain, I find that is the best time for me to write poems, just with it didn't happen so much!

Shamelabboush, thanks for your kind words, "enters your heart before your mind" that is poetic in itself

Brenda, thanks so much kinda got a little self concsious at first, there are so many great poets here.

hub hugs

Every relationship leaves a little bit of the other person with us, even when they are gone. A beautiful poem.
