A Smile Is All I Need To See
You Have My Complete Attention
Today was special in a way I will try to describe
I found something new about me I didn't even know until a moment ago
I am hooked on people that smile
They catch my eye and then before you know it I am weak in the knees
It is a drug that is sold over the counter for free
Legal in all 52 states
I am shocked how fast it works like an aphrodisiac
I get all queezy and my insides turn to instant jello
I think this could not be happening to me
Snap out of it
This is rediculious
But the fact of the matter is
I am still falling hook line and sinker
I am caught up in the moment
I am blown away from just a smile that your lips form
Instantly I tell myself look away and if you feel the same way still start to run
This is not normal and quite out of the ordinary if you ask me
A smile triggers my mind to feel something so special
So personal
Emotional and gratifying
A complete since of feeling
Reassuring what I believe that life is really worth smiling about
To see a natural smile that is radiant and bright
There is no instrument that scientists have ever made that can register the effect a smile has on someone else
But I will stop to tell you it is nothing short of incredible!
My heart races and my mind suddenly goes blank
Nothing else seems to matter
I don't have to know the person
It is just the veiw that I see
I feel honored by their presence
For this very instant I am completely pacified
I don't read into the why's or the who
I just know it is you
Who has taken my day and made me smile too
It must be contageous and I am so glad it is
I have been charmed many times then
So when this smile comes to an end
I patiently wait for another smile to take its place
As I get a whole body rush from head to toe
I am the lucky one who appreciates the beauty you explore
You have perfectly demonstrated what it feels like to be in heaven
Where life is shared and admired for all its blessings and rewards
Keep those smiles coming and maybe other people will finally understand
It is not what we hold in our hands that is precious
It is what we see that satisfies me
