A Warrior Down - Poem

Source

A Warrior Down

Can’t keep a warrior down, in battle

it’s their pain that keeps them around

Can’t keep a warrior down,

It’s through the pain

They learn to abound

Warrior color flairs

with their banner,

they bare, a sword in one hand

with power they do defend,

with all their might

They plow from deep within

Pulling out all the stops of those that pretend

The warrior will out last for they know

it’s only the strong in life that

Endure,

The same pit one digs for a warrior

It’s not the warrior that falls

But the one that digs the pit,

ends up in the ditch….

Nepali people are also called Ghurkha and remembered as warrior clan. There is a separate regiment for Nepali people in Indian and British army called Ghurkha Regiment.

Your poem is beautiful, it reminds me of a harsh reality that our people are fighting since world war first not to defend their territories but to sustain world order.
