A little Brown Dog by Debbie Lacy
A cute little brown dog adopted my home
I wondered where she came from and how far she had to roam,
She crept up on the porch looking tired and beat
So I went to the kitchen to fix her something to eat,
She was so well mannered with this humble look in her eyes
She came over the lick my fingers to my surprise,
Then she sat and lifted up her paw
I tell you it was the cutest thing I ever saw!
As her brown coat shined in the sunlight
So whoever had her treated her just right,
I think I’ll keep her I won’t run her away
She adopted my home and here she can stay.
