A poem about .....Home town love

As cheap as penny candy those tears
on the ladies room floor
you being all dressed up and me
in worn western boots and a jean shirt

I always was the working man just
couldn't work hard enough
The rings and things that ladies love
my budget was kind of tight

Those guys didn't like it much when I walked in and
sat at the table
they made it kind of plain too yet your husband
was well and able

Didn't take them too long to leave at least
while I was able to be around
But you .....you were too damned tricky
there'll be other nights on your town

And in the end there were just one too many men
to keep from coming round
So I left all that to you
and went back to my home town

I say let the running kind be the running kind
till they run out of places to go
for me though I learned from the best I just
never let it show

And in the end, follow your gut feeling to whatever makes you happy. Sooner you make the change, the better. No place like home for comfort. Good read!
