Poem: Prelude to a poem to Define Me
A poem forms!
I started to describe a poem, and the prose had a certain rhythm to it. It was instantly clear to me that my mind was writing a poem. This is the prelude. There is a link to the poem I'd meant to describe below. Enjoy both. =)
I'm losing myself.
I'm torn between understanding
of me and understanding
what the world expects.
I'm torn between
the demands of my dreams,
and what the world demands of me.
And sometimes I'm torn so fully
I forget what "me" means.
- I Dare You To Define Me
When I feel as if I'm losing myself to societal pressures, demands, expectations, I try to remember that I am the only one who can do the defining for me.

Focus on Me is about the small things you notice in a lover. Question these things and notice exactly how they make you feel. They are the most important and exactly what we miss when we're parted.
As I attempt to give you connection through the continued pain of many a person's pain in loneliness.
