A reason to love her

All the reasons to love her start with who she is

She can bring silly giggles and big smiles to the ones she loves
She can bring silly giggles and big smiles to the ones she loves
She isnt perfect, but that is okay
She isnt perfect, but that is okay
She is someone to look up to when there is confusion on what to do next.
She is someone to look up to when there is confusion on what to do next.
and no matter what-she wont ever stop loving and hoping for the very best for them.
and no matter what-she wont ever stop loving and hoping for the very best for them.
She is someone who loved you yesterday, today and will continue to love you tomorrow
She is someone who loved you yesterday, today and will continue to love you tomorrow
She saves little men from monsters that hide under the bed
She saves little men from monsters that hide under the bed
woman are stronger than most men give credit- appreciate her strength, beauty and love
woman are stronger than most men give credit- appreciate her strength, beauty and love

It is her flaws-That make her worth loving at all.

Love her for who she is.

Love her for who she will be.

Love her for all the love she gives to everybody.

She may sometimes be wrong.

Sometimes she may be right.

But when your baby girl is crying,

It will be her soft song that puts to rest her fright.

You will never find another woman as special as she,

When she looks at you, you will feel that it’s a love that was meant to be.

When she finds a man,

She wants to love for all time,

He better make sure not to leave her behind.

Don’t crush her heart.

Don’t disrespect her dreams.

Make all that she hopes for become her reality.

There are so many women,

Who are beautiful inside.

And the beauty within a woman,

Is what every man needs by his side.

So many woman are taken advantage of,

And what was once bright about them,

is lost to his love.

A man should never forget,

That a woman is the core,

Of his happy ending,

and the family he claims to fight for.

She may not work a nine to five job.

But when she becomes a mother ,

Her job never stops.

Twenty four hours a day,

Seven days a week,

She is everything that her family will ever need.

She kisses away pain,

Wishes on shooting stars,

And she sees the promise,

Of the children she holds in her arms.

She will never back down.

She will never give up.

Because when she loves,

She knows it’s a love worth fighting for.

If you look real close,

You can see in her eyes,

That she is the force behind your drive.

All the imperfections,

All her craziness,

Is what makes her special,

And why she deserves to be believed in.

Hold her up,

So she can be seen,

And watch as she shows the world,

All that she was meant to be.

She is worth the love,

And she is worth the fight,

Because she is a woman and a day without a woman,

Can become a life filled with many lonely nights.

Some women are small and some are big,

And some speak up, and others try to blend in.

No matter the woman,

She is perfectly flawed,

And the flaws that she holds,

Are what makes her worth loving at all.

Hey Holly, it's beautiful, just like the person who wrote it. It was definitely a sound poem and an excellent read. I bumped it up a notch, marked it as beautiful and shared it with my followers. Keep up the great work. :) Thank you for sharing. :)

thanks Cagsil, for all the support! I am very happy that you enjoyed this one. It was a request I was answering, so I wanted it to be special-and to be something that stands for all women. :)

Hey Holly, then I would have to say that you did an awesome job, per the request. Actually, I don't think I could have done a better job, even though I love my mom. Then again, I'm also not a parent either. LOL! However, I've been told that I would make a lousy parent. LOL! But, you on the other hand, as I see it, are doing great. :)

there you go again with the compliments :) thanks, some times I really do need to hear that I am doing a good job- specially when I am feeling a bit stressed by parenting and life in general.

A very nice poem with words that ring so true. Men too often take women for granted, and hurt them either knowingly or without thinking, but our lives would be empty without the strength and love of women. Hopefully we can be able to, as you say so well, love her for who she is and will be. Women are indeed the core of our happy ending.

This was quite beautiful, and your words are so wise.

Mike, Thanks so much for the comment. I am very glad that you enjoyed it. Many men dont realize what they have until it is long gone-they think of women as less important than men, but if you look at a family household, women are far more capable than most men. Many of us, work-and when we are done working, we start over again. We dont take sick days, many barely get time to themselves for themselves. How hopeful it would be for a man which she loves to say every so often- You are doing a far better job than imaginable. and simply say thank you for being who she is.

men dont realize that sometimes, that is all we need to make our day :)

I agree with Ken, very memorable. I remember the days when I held my little girls so tightly in my arms hoping to never lose them, but I did. A women can be as beautiful as she wants to be on the exterior but some can be so mean and vindictive to turn their children against a father, I just happen to be one of those fathers who lived with such a woman.

However not withstanding, there are wonderful woman out there and I have met the beauty in their souls and the caring and love they give to their families. I know you must be one of these beautiful souls and I praise you for that Holly.

What a wonderful picture and family life you portray here. Your heart is always in the right place and willing to share the love you exude for your family. Peace and hugs.

Saddlerider1,

I do believe this was the first comment in a very long time that I have had to get up and walk away from my screen before I was able to comment back- Apart from wanting to give you a hug, it deeply saddens me that you have hurt in such a way and that it was caused by a woman who wanted nothing more than to hurt you-but not do what is right for her children and allow them to have an unaltered perspective of their father. You are very right there are woman out there that are selfish and horrible-just because they want to be.

I have always believed that no matter what happens between my husband and I in the future- our children deserve to have both he and I in their future. It is my job to always put their needs first and they need their dad- it does not matter if I am angry-hurt or sad; they need him, so it is their best interest that I never get to a point where I say anything to change their love towards him.

My father once told me that family is more than the ring on your finger, it is more than the love in your heart- it is the things that you share that make your life whole, and even if the love fades and the ring gets sold- you made a decision long ago to share the life of a child. That life is not so easily put away, nor is it deserving of ever having to do without. Part of being a parent is realizing that even if the bond between lovers is broken- the bond that makes you a family is not, and if you try to break your bond of family- it is only a matter of time before you will find that you are no longer whole as a person and things will start to fall apart. Never should anyone try to destroy the reputation of another family member- for the people that do this will eventually be empty and life will fall apart.

Thank you sir for reading and commenting on this poem- I am so sorry that you were unable to hold on to your daughter forever-and that such an empty woman altered your world. You are deserving of so much more happiness than that. Peace and big hugs to you today, sir.

Besides the very well-chosen, the crafted and smart title (A reason to love her) very captivating really, I felt week in the knees Holly when I read that! Specially this one:

Twenty four hours a day,

Seven days a week,

She is everything that her family will ever need.

So charming really. And, what made it so special is incorporating your own life and family within the title and poem... So intelligent answer to my question. I was right when i asked the right person the right question... Thanks Holly, thanks...

I just started reading this, some people think that poetry shouldn't need to rhyme but Shakespeare's usually did and the descriptiveness in yours is brilliant..I haven't written one for a while..no inspiration at the moment

richieb799,

thanks for your comment sir---glad that you enjoyed it. Some of my poetry rhymes and some doesnt- but i try to ensure that it all flows well and is easily read. I have read some that i have to read and re-read because it is confusing and doesnt flow well...I dont want people to suffer while reading my work, lol

mymastiffpuppies,

I am so happy that you liked it. i dont think that the women in the world receive enough recognition for all that they do and how important they are. Men should see what the woman in their lives actually does for the survival of family. Thanks so much for commenting on this hub :)

For the very first time in a long time, I have no words. This is absolutely beautiful and moving. I love how you celebrate the role of all women and those young girls who will eventually become one. We are truly majestic creatures worthy of endless love and devotion.

(And your photos are just amazing.)

Thanks Veronica, I suppose it is a positive thing to render a person speechless. I think that women don't give themselves enough credit for all that they do, probably more so then men...and we need to. I am glad that you enjoyed my words, thanks for commenting :)

Omg this is incredible. Oh and the pictures, omg your beauty shines like a light. This is what womanhood is all about. I AM SO PROUD TO BE A WOMAN. DO YOU HEAR THAT WORLD.Even though I still fall I can guarantee you I will get straight back up. Women need to know they are unique vessels. Just beautiful H.C.

Such a beautiful and true poem. I agree so much with it. A woman is a special person and should be treated as such. It saddens me to see how some woman are treating themselves and portraying themselves to the world. Motherhood in itself is an amazing job that only a woman can fill. You did a wonderful work, capturing the meaning
