A Horse’s Tale (limerick)

Wife asked was I good boy today

In stable where girls and I’d play

I said of course

To stave off divorce

As all of the horses said nay

Snakes coming out at night--or tiptoe through the tulips. As usual, your limerick is full of innuendo and fun on the bright side. I'm taking a walk through the dark side at the moment hence the last few poems I've done. It really is amazing what the human mind can perceive. Even managed to do one of them limerick style from reading your poems. I am learning from one of the best I've had the pleasure to read. Thank you--voted up and funny.

Great limerick. Makes you wonder if he needs to keep his horse in the barn a bit more.

Aha, Martin, you said you were GOOD today.

Now tell the truth. Is that what the girls would say?

To have a horse in one's life is a remarkable thing. They can teach us interesting things, and they also have a bit of a bad side, if you look closely enough...
