Adrift- a poem
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
Adrift in dreams of blissful peace,
of harmony blessed as birds released,
in joyous flight on updrafts make,
a soul’s torment for love’s mistake.
In hallowed nooks of softest down,
imbibing truth with words profound,
I wrestle with my past remiss,
and soothe it with your tender kiss.
In the arms of love and acceptance I,
find freedom sacred within your eyes,
for you have found my long lost soul,
and brought me back to living whole.
Adrift within your deepest heart,
immersed within you from the start,
I can only thank you for being saved,
from my own dark doubts and heart’s decay.
Your loving mind has held me close,
and nurtured all my wounds the most,
by gentle words and tender touch,
your love delivers and I as such,
compelled to find the potential me,
all I can be and world to see,
from you the courage I’ve found to be,
all that you could wish of me.
I Love you.
