Eye's Within the Crowd.......

In some lost moment of cinema the echo of masses
marched before the lense
Though I can only take baby steps in the city
Avoiding eyes ....humanity at the ends

Walking on painted footprints...... thats the
way of the human masses
And at once I realized .......man's own creation ....his
own screaming lashes

The shy man in the city........makes eye contact
but again....... no one replies
I 've got to get out of this place
there are mirrors in thier eyes

Standing at the edge of the woods .....just
once I look back at the city lights
But no one noticed i was missing
turning away slowly ......going off in the night

I don't know the answer to the question
even the question is lost within
I only know the love of man is lost
perhaps hisĀ  final sin

It is so easy to lose ones self in a big city... then again... IF you really know your self the city doesn't matter. That being said, coming from the least populated state in the nation to one of the largest cities has shown me much. Wise was the one you wrote of who turned and walked away. Love's whisper is far louder then the howl of mans discontent. Hope remains...

Wow I absolutely relate!!!! I too naturally am a bit of a hermit but at times when out in a crowd I feel so overlooked. Although I find myself looking others in the face, I don't meet many eyes looking back. Interesting that we start off as babies needing eye contact and touch to grow and interact. But sadly as adults some can't even greet another with true eye contact and maybe a little smile!) I love you dad.. smiles and hugs your way!! No wandering off into the woods though...pinky promise?

Good Day Laurie , So true , I guess its crowds in general that affect me ! Not soo much the city, or even people one on one, I get a bit phylisophical around crowds , to many whys and whats in my head. And I always see the distance increase between humans in general, I feel increasingly lost in a crowd. Wierd huh? I really "friendly" city would change my mind perhaps.Know any? LOL.

Ok sweety ,you know I love the woods though, Hermits pay a huge price believe me , don't go there ! Its probably a safety net for people ? The distance thing! I agree though ,what has anyone got to lose by smiling and saying"hello".....The human condition is a learned behaviour ,your right about that. Hugs and kisses Brandy!!!!oxoxoxoxoxoxooooo

Laurie , There you go again hallucinating , did you say you live in Califoria? lol ,I think that cities and even some towns , for me at least, are too representative of humanities darker side , but I am a bit hyper-sensitive to some things ! I know that! Somehow laurie , I believe you are a plus for any town or city you go to! Have a nice day....

Pixienot ; My meaning is that mans final sin is to look away from others in the Living out his life in the city. The turning away from one another enmass.Isn;t that a sin? Hugs to you.
