All in the Doing

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Consolation queries words,

yet soars in the face of deeds,

the silent intent of doing,

a panacea for the heart.

It is never what we say,

but what we do

that defines who we are.

Words are cheap,

paled by the proof of action,

the revelation of truth,

the outpouring of a heart true.

Eloquent as words may be,

without the foundation of reality,

they become shallow

and a colourless echo of truth.

Love transcends all things,

by fusing expression on all levels,

words, intent and actions

in a flowing sequence of reality.

When sacrifice and nurturing

overcome all notions of self

and exist in a balanced state of being,

giving the flow of sharing,

nothing is lost,

and expression becomes self-procreating.

Without expression,

love is stifled,

and ceases to be.
