All I Need (poem)

One look and all imagination freed

To her my heart soul I must concede

Unsure of all but this I must proceed

To be with her yes this is all I need

That was the spring that saw our love decreed

Each moment thrilled with songs of her in view

Each day another promised dream come true

To kiss another day is all I need

But to our sacred garden blew a weed

To memories cast words of I love you

As torrid of life’s tears blew

Confusing this is all I need

How could we proceed when hearts couldn’t wouldn’t heed

Confounded by problems which winds whirled our way

Who knew the dew on yesterday’s flowers

Made me wonder is this all I need

A victim of life’s deed

This dust of a storm that had past

Reflections just a few

This is all I need

Never let such beauty become complicated. We have to appreciate whats right in front of us, otherwise we may lose it and wish we had it back. Very awesome Martin!

This poem of yours sounds like perhaps a stormy interlude...hopefully not a sad ending to that love. We all have to weather occasional storms in our lives and if we make it through...sunshine lies ahead.

This is beautiful. I can't but compare it to to the thoughts of those who just lost their loved ones in Colorado. Touching!
