An Old Acquaintance Comes Around - Poem Bemoaning Migraines
There you are, again. You surprised me.
It's been a while. Where have you been? Not that I have missed you. My quality of life is certainly much better when you are not around. I have more fun when you are gone. I get more done when you are away.
I was not prepared for your visit and I cannot say I am glad to see you or even missed you while you were gone. You are not my friend. You never will be.
I have already made plans for the next few days that do not include you. I am not willing to rearrange my schedule to accomodate your demands. I cannot go to work with you tagging along.
No. I am not fond of you. I never will be. It doesn't matter how many times you come around. I will never be in love with you.
Quit bothering me. Don't come around again. What is it going to take to get rid of you once and for all? I do not understand why you come back again and again. You are a leech sucking all of the life out of me.
Migraine, please just go away, stay away and do not come back another day.
