Animal Farm

This is a nonsense poem about animals on a farm who are talking to each other and not wanting to be killed. It is not meant to be too serious about it, but it is really just  a few popular sayings involving animals that gave me the idea for this.

Animal Farm

All the creatures spend their time

Down on Animal Farm

They are totally convinced that

They will come to no harm.

They all see a little pig

Being taken away by the farmer

But it's okay because he loves her

So he won't be going to harm her.

Animals were talking amongst themselves

One chicken said this isn't funny

But i've heard the farmer doesn't love us

But kills us for food and gets money.

Even though these animals weren't there

That really put the cat amongst the pigeons

It's fair to say that if they could drive

They'd all be starting up their engines

The whole place was in uproar

All the animals were sickened

From the tiniest, youngest lamb

To those who were no spring chickens

Mad chaos in the farmyard

Total panic in the fields

Running around like headless chickens

Hoping it wasn't real.

One pig was heard saying to another

Get your passport. I don't intend to die

We might be able to escape on a plane

I've heard the phrase pigs might fly.
